Izzy X Pyramids Structure

So I started with one pyramid and I told myself to continue till I said it's enough.

I talked to my dad about suspending the pyramids, and began to question how the accuracy of the suspension of the pyramids. The gaps in between, the size of the pyramids and so on. So, I'm going to ditch that idea because, I want a sleek, united outcome. In addition, the sight of the fishing line (if I wish to suspend it) annoys me alot.

It took me hours to finish around 8-9 pyramids, which definitely I need more. Played with my glossy art paper, and it worked so well!

After considering, I'm exhibiting in on the wall. Am hoping to get a large wall.
Go forth & Multiply! (reminds me of Hassan)

Jan Hakon Erichsen + Robert Johansson X Origami Supernova

This gave me the creeps, and totally digging the sharp edges. Its so masculine, hard metal and like how the title of the work is, its totally Origami Supernova!

Izzy X Pyramids II

Bye paperplanes. Hello Pyramids, welcome back, I've miss you.

Saw this in Habitus Interior Magazine.
Spells Me.

Izzy X Pyramids

“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” – Zig Ziglar.

So yes, I've START moving to the 'making' stage and I have not stop. This pyramids are making me 3-dimensional already. All my sketches are printed out as planned into A2 & A3 sizes. Thanks to Zul! Am looking at making around 20-25 pyramids of different sizes. Intending to suspend it just like Dawn Ng's paper planes idea, only in a more systematic and organised manner in terms of its size.

Pretty happy with the result of the printing. Out with my clean cut lines, and my colours of Black, white & greys.

Merging the sketches

In the midst of printing my sketches and folding into pyramidal shapes. Found that although I like simplicity, making it to only black & white, the complexity and the condensed geometric shapes that I drew is too cluttered for me. What I'm trying to do is folding certain parts of my pyramids with basic coloured paper - Im looking at STILL, black & whites and also silver.

Panteón Nube X Clavel Arquitectos.

I'm such a sucker for clean lines. Can't help but to post it here. Especially when its with neutral colours - Black, White & Greys.

The interesting about this work is, its actually a tomb. I wouldn't mind dying if my tomb is this beautiful. Kidding! Anyway, Panteón Nube is tomb designed by Clavel Arquitectos. This is the second tomb that I post on today and tomorrow and it’s quite different than this family chapel. The facade can only be opened in a certain way, you have to know the right order to open the doors. Thanks to the translucent onyx on the backside, there’s enough daylight inside the tomb. It’s definitely not the saddest place I’ve seen on a cemetery.

Izzy X Crossing my lines.

I thought the stage of making is the most important. But I feel, an attempt of starting to draw will always enhance your imagination on the product that you're trying to make. Here's my drawing attempts on structured foldings of Black & White. And most know, I have an absurd fascination with Stripes & Polkadots. Ditching the Polka, and bringing in my stripes!

Now, how do these black & white go to my paper planes?

Dawn Ng X "I fly like paper, get high by planes"

Breaking away from my Interior function art. This is going to be my art direction. Structured folding planes.
Hence, Easy+Heights. -The attempt of reaching.

Here, an art installation by Dawn Ng, "I fly like paper, get high by planes"

Geomorphology X Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana

Poking sharp edges is intriguing. I'm definitely going on this direction. Been trying to get away from the norm of triangles. But the collation of the sharp edges is orgasmic.

Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana’s Professor Claudia Fernandez and Mauricio Velasquez Posada explores the use volume, space, and environment to recreate the meaning of origami and the human body.  It really makes me pause and say, “hey! whoever created this amazing piece has a truly unique mind!

Yuko Nishimura

Anyone like Yuko Nishimura who folds like this, deserves an audience. Its so tensed, yet so relaxed.
You get what I mean?
